Construction Schedule

The New Academic Building will be the first academic addition to the FIT campus in nearly 50 years, creating a state-of-the-art learning environment and new opportunities for design and business innovation.

The project is supervised by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) and operates in compliance with current health and safety guidance from the New York City Department of Buildings.

Construction began in March 2021, and completion is anticipated in fall 2023.
